Our trip to the scam conference

Last Wednesday (26 March) we attended a conference organised by Home Instead, at Shelford, for carers and organisations who work with the elderly and vulnerable in Cambridgeshire, to find about more about how we can protect those most at risk of frauds and scams.

We were joined by Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Cambridgeshire Trading Standards.

Frauds and scams are happening in our area every day, and if you’re caught by just one scam, you are put on a list which means you details can be sold worldwide – with some victims receiving up to 1000 letters a day!

We’re doing what we can to try and reduce the number of victims – but would urge you to remind your elderly and vulnerable relatives or friends not to fall foul of these scammers and to keep them safe.
