Our golf charity day is this Friday 13th June- it will be a lucky day for us and all those taking part – as well as an enjoyable day playing golf it will raise important funds to enable us to continue providing a valuable service to vulnerable people across the county.
I met with the managers of St Ives golf club, Keith and Chris, and Garry who is helping me organise the event, last Friday to finalise details. We now have 17 teams of 4 players entered which is just fantastic – 5 teams more than last year. The staff at St Ives have made us so welcome, nothing is too much trouble and their hospitality and arrangements has made the organisation of the event so much easier!
We start at 0900 with a shot gun start followed by lunch and presentation of prizes and a raffle.
I have ordered lovely weather, similar to last Friday, so the day will be perfect. I wish everyone who has entered a great day of golf and most of all an enjoyable, fun day. I am told the course is in excellent, tip top condition so there should be no excuses for a poor round!
