Our first priority as a charity is to visit and help secure the homes of people who have been victims of crime. Over the next few weeks we will be telling you some of their stories:
A lady rang the scheme to see if there was anything we could do as her shed had been broken into and items stolen. Her house had an alarm system but she had not thought about shed security. We visited her and fitted an alarm on her shed and her summer house as well. This gave her peace of mind and she felt her garden was so much more secure.
Crime Prevention tip: Sheds are often full of expensive items such as lawn mowers, drills, hedge cutters etc. These are also valuable to burglars who sell them on – they can also be used to break into the house. Never leave a shed unlocked – fit strong padlocks and an alarm.
Why should you fit window alarms? For the answer read our next blog
