We have moved into our new office in Yaxley!
We have been totally upside down this week – boxes everywhere, no internet, no telephones – it’s been crazy! The removal company Cliffe’s from Bourne, arrived on time at 9.15am on Tuesday and their staff Simon and Rob were extremely efficient and took no time at all in loading all our belongings onto the lorry – they must eat spinach because they had no problem at all in picking up what we thought were heavy boxes, filing cabinets, desks etc. I didn’t realise that we had so much!!
At Yaxley, they emptied the lorry just as efficiently and professionally – they must have been exhausted but no, they said they had another job to go to near Stamford!
You think you know where everything is to go but it never works out this way – when the furniture arrived, nothing fitted where we thought it would! But we got there, all the boxes have been unpacked and our office looks like our office again. BT came on Wednesday and we now have internet access, can receive and send emails and the telephone works!
Oz, Shaun and Mary from the Police Federation have been brilliant and have made us so welcome at Yaxley and decorated our offices. We can’t thank them enough for all the support and help they have given us.
We know we will be just as happy here as we were at Sawtry and will continue to provide our service helping older and vulnerable people feel safer in their own homes.
