I wrote a blog a few weeks ago about the Stuart Allen Memorial Shield ice hockey match held on June 18th between the Peterborough Predators and MK Rumble – an annual match to remember Stuart who tragically died in a car crash on his way back from an ice hockey match at Milton Keynes. This year the proceeds from the match were being donated to the Bobby Scheme.
Well, I went to the ice ring at Bretton two weeks ago to collect the cheque from Richard Allen and I was delighted to receive a cheque for £1,127.26
The memorial match is a very special event and its success every year is a testament to how highly regarded people think of Stuart and his family. We can’t thank everyone involved in raising this incredible amount highly enough for choosing us as their charity this year. We were delighted and honoured to be linked to such a memorable event.
