Hello all….how did you all cope with the ‘Beast from the East’? What an interesting week weather wise we have had, apparently it hadn’t been as cold since 1981…..That is presuming you can recall that far back! I received a very warm welcome at the Annual Trustee meeting, many of whom braved the weather conditions. Thank you.
As I write this I’m sure Shirley will be wondering how she ever managed to fit work in. I doubt her feet haven’t touched the ground since last week enjoying life, family and friends. As you all know, Shirley has been an invaluable asset to the Bobby Scheme for the past 6 years, leaving ‘Big Boots’ for me to try and fill. I am looking forward to working with the team, so far I’m settling well and learning lots.
Over the next few weeks I will be going out with ‘the boys’ to get a real feel for how the scheme allows our clients to feel safer and how it impacts on their lives. I have been reading the testimonials of individuals and the way this service makes them feel is outstanding, not to mention extremely humbling.
I am very much looking forward to working with the team and getting myself established within our area representing such an important service.
I’m already on the look out for donations….if anyone is aware of any spare/redundant PC’s the Bobby Scheme is in need of replacing the 2 that we have. Donations gratefully received. 🙂
Take care and stay safe.
